Nostalgia Vintage Event Rentals is dedicated to helping you translate your unique personality and ideas into a one-of-a-kind event. Our vintage décor and furniture items add character and whimsy to weddings, showers, photo shoots, and other special events…if you can dream it, we can decorate it!What inspired you to work in the wedding industry?
A few years ago when we started decorating our house, I got into antiquing. I find it hard to pass up a really great piece, and I ended up with more items than I could feasibly use in our house. So when vintage rentals first popped up on my radar, I thought, “I need to try this!” I’ve always been interested in working in the event planning industry and vintage rentals seemed like the perfect fit for me.What are your favorite and least favorite wedding trends?
I’m on board with any trend as long as it is special to the couple and conveys their personalities. I don’t like anything “standard”–say, centerpieces consisting of a mirror topped with candles and glass pebbles.What makes your business unique?
I think it’s easier to create a certain mood or convey meaning with vintage pieces. Vintage items evoke memories — for example, an antique silver tea pot might remind you of your grandmother’s silver tea service.What inspires you?
There are so many great wedding blogs out there–I get a lot of inspiration from those. But I also am inspired by trips to antique stores and looking at old magazines and photos.What is your favorite love story?
I’m a huge fan of all the classic love stories by Jane Austen and the Bronte sisters. Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte is my favorite.What is your best advice for a newly engaged couple?
Don’t try to handle all the wedding planning on your own–enlist the help of family, friends and wedding professionals whenever possible. I remember that I developed an eye twitch in the months leading up to my wedding, I was so stressed out! You should be enjoying your engagement.What are you looking forward to most about The Lovestruck Event?
